Delivery

UK orders are sent tracked and usually arrive within 2 to 3 working days. In stock pieces ordered before 4pm on a weekday leave the same day. International orders are fully tracked and take 5 to 10 working days; duties may apply outside the UK.

Returns

Return any unworn piece in its original condition within 30 days for a full refund (14 days for sale items). Email us and we will confirm the address. Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty, so please use a tracked service.

Exchanges

Not quite the right size or shade? Exchanges are sent out free of any further delivery charge on Royal Mail standard service. Just let us know which piece you would like instead.

Made to order

Many pieces are made in limited numbers. If a colour or size is out of stock we can often have it made for you. We will confirm the estimated dispatch date before you commit.

Sizing

Capes and ponchos are one size and drape generously. Knitwear runs true to UK sizing. If you are between sizes or unsure, email us with your usual size and we will advise before you order.

Care

Alpaca improves with wear. Store folded, air after wearing rather than washing often, and hand wash cold or dry clean when needed. A soft brush restores the pile on fur pieces.

Gifting

Every order arrives in signature Lacorine packaging, ready to give. No prices are included in the parcel. Gifts can be exchanged by the recipient or refunded to the purchaser.

Unsure about size or colour? info@lacorine.co.uk or call 020 8777 7534. We answer personally, usually the same day.

The process

From the Andes to your door

1

Shearing

Once a year in spring, by hand. The animal goes back to the herd and the fleece grows back.

2

Sorting

Every fleece is graded by hand. Only the finest baby alpaca grade is kept for Lacorine.

3

Spinning and dyeing

Spun into yarn and dyed in small batches, which is why our colours run deep and our shades are few.

4

Making

Knitted, woven and finished by hand. Some pieces take a single maker several days.

5

Sending

Inspected in Peru and again in the UK, then wrapped and sent to you.

Made in Peru

Every piece begins in someone's hands

High in the Andes, alpaca have been kept for over five thousand years. The families we work with have spun, dyed and knitted their fibre for generations, long before there was a market for it in Europe.

We do not buy from a factory. We work with a small group of independent makers, visit them, pay them fairly, and give them the time a good piece needs. Their names are not on the label, but their work is in every stitch.

“We wanted a brand where the maker is paid properly and the customer can feel the difference. That is the whole idea.”Antonia, founder

The Fibre

Alpaca fibre is valued for its exceptional softness, natural warmth, and durability. Lightweight yet insulating, it regulates temperature and retains its shape over time, making it well suited to seasonless wear.

Craftsmanship

Crafted in Peru by skilled artisans, each piece reflects generations of textile knowledge refined through contemporary design. Traditional techniques are combined with careful finishing to ensure quality, longevity, and a refined hand feel.

Care & Longevity

To preserve the natural qualities of alpaca, we recommend gentle hand washing or professional dry cleaning. Store folded to maintain shape and texture. With considered care, alpaca fibres improve with wear over time.
