Materials
Lacorine teddy bears and collectables are made from natural alpaca fur in its own shades, with no dyeing and no bleaching. The fur is derived solely from natural herd loss in the harsh Andean winters, so this beautiful fibre is used with respect. Each one is handmade in Peru. Our teddy bears are tested to the EN71 toy safety standard and carry the CE mark. Lacorine is a member of BAFTS, the British Association for Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers.
Care
Surface clean only. Dab any marks gently with a damp cloth and a little mild wool detergent, then leave to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or submerge in water. Once dry, a soft brush lifts the fur and restores its shape.
Each piece is made from natural fur, so colour and texture vary slightly from one to the next and from the photographs. No two are quite the same.
Items in stock are dispatched the same day on weekday orders placed before 3pm UK time. Orders placed after 3pm, or at the weekend, are dispatched on the next working day. Orders placed on a bank holiday are dispatched within two working days of the holiday.
If an item is out of stock, we can usually make it to order. Many pieces in the Lacorine collection are made in limited numbers and colours, and some take considerable time to make. Production times vary, so we will contact you with an estimated dispatch date before we go ahead.

Crafted in Peru by skilled artisans, each piece reflects generations of textile knowledge refined through contemporary design. Traditional techniques are combined with careful finishing to ensure quality, longevity, and a refined hand feel.
Care & Longevity
Alpaca fur needs very little care. Surface clean with a damp cloth when needed, let it dry naturally away from direct heat, and brush the fur lightly to lift it. Looked after gently, it stays soft for years.
